Oliver Mother F'in Peoples

I can't describe how much I love Oliver Peoples' ads. He and his director are brilliant!

In this first video, every shot is like a beautiful photograph. I dream to make images like this one day.

This one stars Zooey. She is perfection and so is musician Matt Costa. Enjoy!

Both of these videos make my soul so happy and giddy.

Three down, Seven more to go

Hello Lovelies,

I am so excited how fast and wonderful this week has been thus far. I am working a stretch of 10 days before I head off to the windy city for 4 days, but feel like I haven't worked at all! It is such an exciting feeling to love my job, to wake up and love getting ready for it. I haven't felt this way since my 8 year stint in college. I love my job and all of the wonderful perks I get with it. I spent yesterday at school with my beautiful counterparts of the Giorgio Armani Las Vegas Make-up Artist Team. They were fun, they were full of information and really a great group of ladies. So, for being such a good group of girls, we got some goodies. I think every girl who has dry dry dry skin should know about OMC3.

So I am going to break it down. It moisturizes the driest of skins, re-plumps and most importantly helps with ANTI-AGING! I used it last night when my skin was feeling tight and felt immediate relief. This morning when I woke up, my skin looked supple. I love that word, supple. It was pretty and supple. So please please please, go to your nearest Giorgio Armani counter and get yourself a vat of this product. It is amazzzzzingggggggg.

Ok, now that I am done with my supple in a jar tangent, I will head off to enjoy the rest of my morning getting ready for the best job in the world!

Enjoy this beautiful Friday.

Musical Monday

Today is my last day off for 10 whole days. I have spent most of the morning finishing my niece, Nell, dress. It is pretty and springy, and I love it. I will post photos when I am done with the slippers and bib. I have also spent the day dancing and cleaning. Needing a good rest from all of this busy-ness, I have decided to share some of my favorite jams and singers at the moment.

Monsters of Folk. Say Please.
I love this video, I love their voices, I love their music. Period.

Patrick Watson. He is pure beauty. Reminds me of my beloved, Jeff Buckley.

She and Him. In The Sun. Just watch and you will understand why there is no need to explain their awesomeness.

White Rabbits. Percussion Gun. Makes me want to drive with the windows down and the music blasting.

So there you go. A little sumthin-sumthin for this Musical Monday. Now back to cleaning!

Abuelita

Today, three years ago, my abuelita left earth to start a new adventure in heaven. She has seven beautiful girls, each one of her girls have something about them that is very abuelita. She has many, many grandchildren, each one of her grandchildren have something about them that is very abuelita. She has 6 great-grandchildren, some who met their bissie and some who did not, each one of her great-grandchildren have something about them that is very abuelita. When I miss her face, her touch, her voice, her laugh... I visit or call the presents that she left me, little pieces of her in each of my family. The people she taught to laugh, taught patience to, taught how to love. So to my abuelita, thank you for being so good and making my life more beautiful by having you in it.

I love you more and more everyday.

DIY: Spring Cleaning

So yesterday I decided to tackle a little spring cleaning. Matt and I have been living in our little rented condo for about a year and a half. That is way longer then we have ever lived anywhere and being that when we move we are forced to purge our items, this little project was way over due. Now, as some of you might have asked yourself, "where do I start?" This question played on repeat over and over in my head, do I start in my studio or the garage? Well, I have figured out the perfect spring cleaning routine. Please enjoy!

1. Go to the store and get your comfort food, I happen to pick up a box of Keeblers Chocolate Chunk Cookies.

2. In order to get pumped about cleaning, google the show HOARDERS. Watch an entire episode. Think to yourself, "well, it isn't that bad" and "if I don't clean this mess up, I will become one of those people." It is really important to really watch the show in order to get motivated and to get your strategy down.

3. Now its time to clean up! First, start in the hardest most boring room. Touch each item and ask yourself, "do I love it, do I need it, do I want it?" If you say no to any of these questions, then toss it. If you say yes, then the next question is, "have I touched this item in the last year?" If you say no, then toss it. If you have, then find a nice home for this item. *This rule does not apply to "memory" items. If this contains a real sincere memory, then toss it in a Memory Box.

4. Remember to eat your comfort food when you feel overwhelmed.

5. A playlist is crucial to making the day go faster. So blast your favorite and dance it out when you get bored. I like to clean to 80's music.

6. Ok, when you get to the nitty gritty and you can't go anymore, then get 1 big box, only put the things you don't want to put away right now, toss the rest. Put that box in the garage or the basement and save it until next years spring cleaning!

* "Oh there it is!" You will find yourself saying this a lot! Don't be embarassed, I found a box of my camera's I forgot where I put. I am a photographer and need these items. This does not embarrass me.

Happy cleaning!

It's my Saturday and I shake my booty if I want to.

I am so excited for today. It is the last day of Beauty Week and I am really crossing my fingers that we go out with a bang!

There are so many amazing things on the horizon and I can't wait to just dive in this weekend. I had a meeting with an amazing soul named Merrily. She is the mecca of coolness and hilarity and very soon we will be bring vintage and refashioned finds to the Las Vegas scene. This project has always been my dream and I can't wait to share it with the world. So please please please get pumped about this, I really mean Jersey Shore pumped about it.

Also, I would like to send a shout out to my sister, Kiki. She is a DC scene fashionista bringing old school and out of this world style to your computer. Follow her, love her, read her, laugh at her, and add her blog page.

Everything looks new

Hello World,

As of late I have been feeling so happy and creative. Everything is lined up.. work, check... photography, check... good health, check... money, check.... love, check... good friends, check... family doing well, check. Nothing to complain about. See what is really scary about this, is as some of you might think, everything shouldn't be good, there should always be something just not right to balance out the good. So instead of waiting for something bad to happen, I have decided to just chill and enjoy the good!

So ladies and gents, enjoy this really beautiful day and remember, life happens so just don't worry about it.

Diana and Me!

Hello! So I have been a busy little bee the last couple of weeks. Working, creating, learning to cook, sewing, painting, redecorating, make-uping and most importantly, shooting with my new Diana Lens my wonderful husband got me for Valentine's Day! I haven't felt this free and creative with my photography since college. I have let go of focus and setting up my shots for a more carefree, if its pretty then I am going to shoot it, sort of style. I have gone out almost everyday since getting my lens to shoot and I love it!

Check out one of my favorite photography websites filled with all kinds of goodies! www.photojojo.com . And check out the Diana Lens for digital cameras!
