A whole month.... really?

I know you hear this often from me, but this has been the craziest month ever! There have been so many adventures that I have had, so many coming up. Work has been busier for me then ever, really working on launching all the social networking and getting in a general groove of things. And, you my poor little blog, has suffered. I feel terrible.

Well to make it up, I am going to share a new old obsession. I love the brits, I really do. I love the movies, I love the music, I love the accents, I love the street fashion... I love the old buildings and cities. Lately, I have been watching all kinds of British movies and mini-series. The other night, while browsing Netflix, I found this little gem of a mini-series called Lost in Austen.

Basically, it is about a girl who is obsessed with Pride and Prejudice, who finds a secret door to the world of the book and trades places with Elizabeth Bennett. Pretty much someone went into my dreams and stole this idea from me. I have always fantasized of living in the world of the Bennett's, of meeting Darcy, of wearing those super fabulous dresses.... The movie itself was good, the main actress got on my nerves a bit, it ran too long for one sitting, but all-in-all it was totally worth my time.

Oh yeah, Darcy, so sexy, I will make Matt do this one day.....

While watching this movie, I had an awesome epiphany. I pretty much married Darcy, well except for the huge chunka money. Matt is pretty much the Polish version of Darcy, all the bad and, more importantly, the good. He is pompous, he is sometimes rude, he is smart, he is passionate in private. Then I was thinking, Matt is also very similar to Proffessor Bhaer, from Little Women. Did I actually marry a combination of the men I have always read about when I was a child? Hmm.. I think so. And that is awesome!

So with this, I leave you some of my other favorite British things! Enjoy.

The Duchess. Her life kinda sucked but her fashions were rocking.

I need this whole look asap.

Gordan Ramsay. Yeah, I don't need to say anymore.

My friend Shelley. She is such an amazing soul.

TOPSHOP. I need this Cat Dress.

I need this military pencil skirt.

I need this chain heels.

I need this creepy orphan dress.

Oh, and most importantly, the best thing to ever come from England.

I hope that inspires you, and if not, just pick up ANY Jane Austen book and have a good read.
